GOG please fix the Resident evil trilogy cutscenes on the steam deck so we can have full screen cutscenes and not a small cropped FMV everytime they play.

It's been how many months now?

WE ARE STILL WAITING!
WE DON'T ASK FOR MUCH!!!!

(sorry i'm just alittle pissed off & sad just got the news my dog only got like 3 months to live in so...... yeah.... anyway..., i just hope you guys can fix it) so we can play the FMV cutscenes in full screen on the steam deck & not cropped like i said above to a tiny tiny box in the left corner.

Please help us!!!.

Could you look into it GOG?

That's not on GoG sadly.
If you can see the cutscenes, most likely you can fix it with some the scaling tools on the Deck. To be fair i didn't try any of the resident evil on my deck, yet.
Now i'm curious to see how resident evil 3 works on the deck.
Sorry about your dog.

sorry but gog has no obligation to fix something for a competing platform. capcom and gog collaborated to ressurect these ports so steam will never have these. now fixing it yourself with mods is possible but you would need a bit of trial and error. some have fixed issues like this by using a different direct x wrapper like dgvoodoo. best of luck to you.and my condolences.
Thanks to both of you for the messages about my dog!

I got the games working the only problem is the damn fmv cutscenes aren't full screen.
That's my only problem.

I have tried to contact GOG about it on email but sadly to my discovery from others experinces
they are extremely slow at responding to people.

it's already been a week.

Competitor or not i see no harm in making this work for everybody
me playing this on steam in a fully working state is a good thing
and GOG is still making money so i see no harm in helping us out!

(UPDATE)

The email i got from GOG

Unfortunately, your operating system is not supported for this game. Because of this I am unable to guarantee that the game will function properly.

Maybe you have access to a different PC that meets the system requirements and that you could use to play the game?

I feel like an argument could be made that a Steam Deck meets their own GOG Preservation Program description:

"What can you expect from games in the GOG Preservation Program? When you buy a game from the Program, you can expect it to work on current and future popular PC configurations."

I mean estimated Steam Deck sales are around 3-4 Million Units, it runs on a variation of Linux. Does that not qualify as a "popular PC Configuration"?
