Hello GoG.
Today i bough the bundle, and I am happy to be able to play these games again after so many years.
But I do have a Question when it comes to fullscreen.
Even if I chose fullscreen in the DX settings, I have 2 black bars on left and right side of the game.
Any way to get a bigger image and remove those bars?
Questions goes for both re1 and re2.

Not without stretching the image horizontally and making characters look like they've been customer of the month at McDonald's and Burger King at the same time. Both games where not made with widescreen in mind.

Yeah I did noticed that hehe. But as a PAL user, it's kinda been like that way.

Even if I disable aspect ratio, the black bars remain for RE2 in full screen......

I am very upset.

Not sure what you mean, but, TVs and monitors had a 4:3 aspect ratio, back in the day.

I see, but Capcom could add 16:9 resolution
That would require to remake the game, as the pre-rendered backgrounds are 4:3.

You need to put Ascpect Ratio Correction to "Disabled", and Scalng Method to "Screen Fit" if you want to play it in fullscreen stretched. If you put Aspect Ratio Correction to "Enabled", and Scaling Method to "Screen Fit" it will have black bars on the side. If you put Aspect Ration Correction to "Enabled", and you put Scaling Method to "Integer Scaling" You will have black bars on the sides, and a smaller black bar on the top, but it will look more clean.

So what i ment when i said I was used to "stretch image with pal" was the difference from PAL and NTSC.
I remember one time i got a ps1 modded, and got a NTSC version of resident evil i was wondering why the characters were so long. As a PAL playstation gamer growing up it was like the picture I had was almost squashed together. Hope that explains it.
