When I change the controls in Redneck Rampage nothing happens in-game. The controls keep being as they where from the start.
I've never experienced this problem before in a Build engine game. Does anybody know why this is happening?

Hi,
there's a setup utility in the game start menu folder for that.

I know. That's one I'm using to change the control. But nothing is changed in the game.. I'm able to see the changed I've made to the controls in the setup program but they don't apply in the game..

Are you saving and launching the game after setting your controls? Have you made sure your in the right setup.exe file, there are 3 different ones, one for the main game, one for the expansion and then one for the sequal, if you select it from the start menu it should choose the right game.
If you are doing that then you could try going into the redneck rampage folder, find the Redneck.CFG file, open that with notepad and then change the controls manually in there. Then just save it and it should work in game.

Thanks for your help. But I've just figured out that I by running the setup program as admin I was able to change the controls! Possibly because it needed admin rights to edit the CFG file.
Btw is it possible to run the game with Open-GL rendering without entering the Graphic Mode Setup program every time you run the game?

When I save the setup it keeps it saved between plays I've had mine saved to Ddraw forever. Have you tryed running the graphics setup under admin as well maybe its the exact same problem as changing the controls it needs permission to keep the data saved how you like it?

Tried going into the games folder finding the doxboxRR.conf file opening it with notepad and changing the output= to output=opengl and saving the file?

I've just opened the file. Output is already set to openGL. But still the game only works if I open it trough the graphic setup. Wierd!
EDIT: I got the game to work by running it as admin.

Unfortunatly I don't have the game installed any longer. Are you on win7 or vista and if so have you tried opening notepad as an administrator first then opening the redneck.cfg and saving it?
Mouse Setup..
How do I set the mouse so I am able to look up/down. Seems I can only see straight ahead.
