One more thing, I'm running a nVidia 6150 SE nforce 400 integrated graphics unit so what Glide would you recommend for this thing?

And that should do for a moment good sir.

* Okay I reread and noticed the Glide goes into the game and not into the graphics card by a miracle of science.
So my question is: These Glide wrappers can be used in older games to enhance the graphics? Or some of the older games?

But key here is 'Glide into game' folder.

The DGVooDoo ones can be used on those older games that were designed for Glide Graphics. The CJGlide wrappers were set up specifically for RB3D and have not been tested on other games.

The OpenGL one I have uploaded was originally made for multiple games, but GabiLaser did some modifications to it specifically for RB3D to allow for better graphics performance and avoiding a graphics bug in RB3D.

(RB3D had this bug that if one used more then 4 MB of graphics memory, one would get massive graphic corruption. GabiLaser modified a OpenGL wrapper to allow one to use 8, 16, or 32 MB of their graphic card's memory, but make the game think only 4 MB was being used, therefore avoiding the graphic glitch.)

I would suggest trying the one entitled CJglide2x_02, as for me it gives equal results as DGVoodoo 1.4, and consists of only one, single file. There is no tweaking with this one, just put t in and see if it works. I get 20 to 60 FPS with this one

(I have my Nvidia Card FPS locked to my monitor's refresh rate, so not sure I could how fast it can really go. One reason is RB3D's performance is connected to the FPS rate. When I have gotten 100+ FPS with Direct Draw mode, the planes respond so quickly that it feels like they are greased lightning and I pop the wings off very easily. By keeping the FPS limited the plane don't go from being controllable to overly sensitive in a split second.)

Which Glide wrapper is best? Depends on your computer and graphics card, and it relly does not make sense (at least to me). Try a Glide Wrapper and see how the game looks and performs. Then replace it with another and test. Then pick the one that gives the best speed and visual punch.

DGVoodoo is suppose to work best with Nvidia cards, but for my XP machine, the OpenGL wrapper worked best for me back then. DGVoodoo 1.5 is suppose to be an upgrade to DGvoodoo 1.4, but for me on my Win7 machine, DGVooDoo 1.4 gave much better then performance the 1.5. (I was getting 5 fps with 1.5 whereas I was getting 30 fps with 1.4)

So, you just have to give them a try and see which one works.

After You put your Glide Wrapper in, you need to reset your games graphics preferences. So in the menu, select Preferences, => Graphics, => Advance. Set everything to maximum quality and distance, select Glide and the greatest resolution possible. Then test the game in Fly Now. Then try another Wrapper, and another util you know which oe gives the best performance. Then if you need to, go into the graphics preferences and reduce settings if things are a bit sluggish to boost performance.
yeah I was goning to put the CJGlide2x_2 in but when I scanned it with my anti-virus this popped up http://s722.photobucket.com/albums/ww230/feloneousX57/?action=view¤t=ScreenShot004-5.jpg.
I don't know but the Voodoo 1.4 did too..

I've not had much problems before but i always scan before I open anymore.
I thought I'd show you so you'd be aware something was going on. I still want to use this 'Glide' type.

Let me know something good sir.

All I can say it I have used both for years. I uploaded the ones posted. None of the have never come up with a positive from either: Spybot Search & Destroy, Malewarebytes, Trend Micro's Housecall, or iObi's Maleware Fighter.

That, and the CJGlide2x_2 was created by a friend of mine I have known online for 7 years. We were in the same RB3d Squadron together ad he is currently the CO of the RoF Squadron we belong to.

I have never used AVG for I keep hearing stories about false positives from people. If the file is not listed in it's db it is assumed at risk

The Glide Wrappers are dll files which can be used for not good stuff, so when virus software come across a dll it doesn't know, they sometimes will consider it suspect.

A story, back in 2001, I had gotten a new computer with McAfee installed. I went to load Lemmings. Turns out the game was so obsolete for a Win98 system it would have run, but that didn't matter for McAfee saw it's obsolete programming as a virus and wiped out the install disk.

So, with that said, You just have to make the decision to either use the Glide Wrapper or not. Even though I will state that the Glide Wrappers are free of any problems, you only know me through these forms.
Yeah I'm learning it's probally a false positive, A full scan showed nothing so I'm going with it. To much work involved
I meant no disrespect good sir, and I apologize.
It just freaked me for a moment before my brain kicked in and began processing the data.
And the other's showed nothing when scanned...

Only AVG does this I've read...I may try Microsoft Essentials, I dunno..

No disrespect taken. We only know each other from this forum, only just recently. So I am basically just a complete stranger telling you to trust something. Completly understandable ad no offense taken.
It's isn't that good sir, I've seen your name associated with RB3D for years. On the Delphi forums and forums I've forgotten the names of, and recently the ROTJ forums, though you are a stranger you're not a stranger. Does that make sense?

Today the missus is gone to work so I can investigate my AVG in peace. That is the culprit.
