albertix: Wonderful dear Lady. Always a pleasure to find fellow-Roth-lovers with such extended depth of knowledge. Even ancient greek, which I had to study for 6 years -along with latin, german, english and french apart from my native dutch- at grammarschool, now fortunately a very long time ago. I'll start reading your marvelous Wiki a bit more indepth. Currently deepsearching web.archive for related articles and software, finding german, spanish, polish, french sources and even finnish as well. Most I can read or translate, but polish and finnish is beyond me :) Of course downloading all scans hires and even some cdroms as iso that date back to the game (pre)release.
I also found that to change the brightness ingame, just c or v will suffice, as was stated in the original game manual.
I also found a german 1997 mag with some nice HEX-edits to get more ammo and healing potions, image attached. AUF in german means TO, i.e. CHANGE TO
Kohde: What a fun coincidence: I had most of those languages you mention in school as well (Latin, French, English, a bit of Spanish; wish I could have picked Greek too) and to be honest, I enjoyed most of them. Everyone has their preferences, I guess. I'm not very good at physics for instance. I understand that an apple will fall to the floor (under normal terrestrial conditions), but that's about it.
That sounds like a great idea. I'll probably have to go check if there's any other magazine scans or material I haven't entered in my
list yet. Is it okay if I add your screenshot as well? I'll make sure to credit you of course. Anyways, have a good rest of the week & stay safe!
Me too, had to choose between alpha and beta, and psysics biology etc were wasted on me, so obviously the languages. It helps in reading other languages immensely. Sure you can use the screenshot and once I am done organising I can make all the scans, iso, etc available online for you to use as you will. Will keep you posted. I am almost done browsing 400+ magazines from the web.archive as well as cdroms and websites. Stay safe as well. Getting my skates on again pretty soon what with the coldspell over here....
I just found this one as well. Gives a pretty good insight into the story. Always wondered about the menhirs/stones with magicals seals. Seemed to be the same 7 seals later on and this storyline apparently confirms it. Still no a real clue where the soulstone came from in the first place, viewing the intro movie again and again, but obviously well guarded by a winged angel? and later on the Knights.
