Just curious if there is anyway to play this game in full screen without the black bars at the side. i want to play it in true full screen, honestly i think the picture looking stretched would even be worth it. im guessing theres no way to do this though.
Several things you can try to get rid of them.
Uncheck the keep aspect ratio in the graphics setup of the game.
Look into your video driver for settings that concern aspect ratios.
Often your display has settings to in which it can adapt to aspect ratio.

Personally I'm exactly the opposite, can't stand stretched or otherwise distorted views.

If you set ´perform scaling on´ from ´GPU´ to ´display´ I think it should display the game full screen. That´s the setting that eluded me for years when I was trying to add black bars to certain games (like Diablo2).

Anyone who plays DOSbox games and would like to learn how to configure them according to their own preferences needs to learn DOSbox for himself. It's very easy to learn and once you do you can expand what you know to cover all of your DOSbox games. I use the svn-daun version of DOsbox as it is by far the best for gamers, including as it does a 64-bit dosbox executable & D3d9.0c shader effects great for improving the graphics output of games just like RoH.

And, yes, it's child's play to change the aspect ratio in a DOSbox game to "false" so that the image will fill your entire screen instead of being truncated to a lower but aspect-correct resolution. Here's my dosbox.conf for RoTH...it's a simple txt file but you must remove the .jpg extension (just rename the file to the same thing but with no .jpg extention.) For some reason Gog won't let you attach anything except .jpg or similar graphics files, so we have to put on the fake .jpg extension...

"Aspect" setting is found in the [render] subsection of the dosboxROTH.conf file...Happy New Year!

I'm getting black bars at 4096x2160

They won't go away

please tell me how to get rid of them in the game itself, video driver control panel settings have no affect
