I recently bought Rayman 3 from GOG and it seemed to install quite smoothly. The setup worked perfectly, but when it came to launching the game I got the message:'Check your version of DirectX. Version 8.1 or higher is required.' So I looked at whether I have DirectX 8.1 or higher on my laptop and when I checked the info it said that it was DirectX 11.
After further research I found that there could be multiple problems with this. Just like that you have to change the Compatibility to Windows XP (or even Windows ME or Windows 98 or any older version, but those can't be find if I want to change the compatibility) and that you have the run the launching as administrator.

Now I am not really a PC Gamer nor am I wise of all technical features of my laptop, the only thing I can tell is that I have a Windows 8 Enterprise, with DirectX 11. So if there are any important details please ask me, I reaaallyy need to play this game again sometime on PC.

The game doesn't use the newer DirectX. You need the last version of DirectX 9 (parallel install to DirectX 10+).

So if I install DirectX 9 will it replace the DirectX 11 that I have now, otherwise do I or can I even Uninstall DirectX 11, I know it might sound like a stupid question.

*Note to installing DirectX 9, how do I actually install it, because the link that is posted in your comment sends me to a page where I also have to upgrade my Windows into Windows 10, which I'm not planning to do (if it's not necessary).

Explicitly no. This why I stated it is a parallel install. DirectX 5 -> 6 -> 7 -> 8 -> 9. DirectX 10 -> 11 -> 12. Versions 10 and up do not replace version 9 or ealier. Conversely version 9 does not replace versions 10 or higher.

Actually the first link still works and is the more important one. For the second, that appears to be some more Microsoft bullshit. Try this link?

I have tried to install both installers and I did it with the steps as it said in your link, but seemingly it still doesn't work. When I tried to install the Web Installer it said that I already had a newer version or same version on my system. The En-User Runtimes (June 2010) pack I could install and I launched the setup that was included in the extracted folder, that was also installed smoothly, but when I tried to launch the game the same error still popped up.
Any more details that I have may forgot? Maybe reinstalling the game or anything else?

Run as Administrator? Otherwise send in a support ticket. Guess you could look over the general troubleshooting guide.
A year later and still can't find a fix for this fucking game.
Install june 2010 redist (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109)

check also video driver

I installed it it but still says "Version 8.1 or higher is required" when trying to launch the game.
You have to enable DirectPlay function for it to work!
I'm unable to post a link but search "How to Enable DirectPlay in Windows 8/8.1/10" on youtube.
This should help ;)
