Is there a way to make the game run maximized

everytime i start it .. its not filling up the screen its in some sort of widescreen and off to left.

I've had that problem with Rayman M and it sometimes helped to minimize the game and then open it again, though I'm not sure about Rayman 3.

I think what my problem was it had something to do with the aspect ratio

doesn't matter what screen resolution i pick in the setup nothing changes.

Well you can play the game fullscreen but the menu text will be in the wrong places, just edit the ubi.ini file found in:
C:\Users\-username-\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windows\Ubisoft
Otherwise I don't know. You can try setting the 1 before the resolution in the ubi.ini file to play in total windowed mode if that's better.
