Argle: My audio device is Tascam m164uf USB mixer. Definitely not, uh, normal gaming soundcard (I do music production). That said, I've never had sound problems with any other game. Within about 5 seconds of the title screen the music starts stuttering and jittering, and the framerate gets kinda wonky. I've run other games in DOSbox before and not experienced this problem. Have tried changing DXDiag hardware settings, no effect. Not sure if it's a sound issue, or a performance issue causing sound problems. Unchecked "double buffering" option, no effect.

Argle: Yes, that helped! Still had some audio pops, more of a minor annoyance than game breaking. So I set cycles to Max and it runs great now.

hockeycanuck: That seemed to help me too as on my Netbook not only the audio was causing the game to slowdown, but the music to stutter as well! Should be included in the FAQ list on the support site.

Maurizio84: in your rayman folder (ie c:\games\rayman forever\rayman) there is a file dosboxRayman.conf, open this with notepad for example and find a line core=normal (it's under [cpu] section and should be on line 65), replace normal with auto and save the file, then run the game normally.

Maurizio84: you probably have it in program files which is a protectec folder, you need to open notepad/wordpad as admin and then open the file to make the edits.

mastin95: I'm having the same problem but I tried the solutions and it's not working. I have windows 8 and in size screen the sound stutters and the graphics also, but in small screen work well.Is there any other solution to fix it.?
