RayTunes is the place to be for your Rayman soundtracks! In my opinion that is. They've now also uploaded a FLAC version of Rayman 1 and 2. Directly ripped from the game so there's minimum quality loss.
Just out of curiosity, are any of these files playable on an iPod? I'd love to get the full soundtrack on it.
The music is in Ogg Vorbis so if your audio player supports that you should be good. As the music files are a commonly known format, the software you use to synchronize your audio player with should also be able to convert them if needed I think.

If that's not the case, I think googling for a converter would be your best bet - just be aware of loss in audio quality when converting to lossy formats such as mp3 or aac.

Megaupload was shut down, is there a torrent or something where I can get the music?
Megaupload was (unfairly) shut down, along with many, many other file sharing sites. Is there any other way I can get the soundtrack?.
RapidShare link set up:

When you download this, do me a favor: *Do not delete it off of your hard drive*. It may need to be rehosted again, especially if my awesome country decides to take down the whole internet for the sake of 'piracy'.

Edit: Use the divshare link below:

I will be deleting my RapidShare account due to them being moneygrubbing pieces of shit. Quoth the raven:

Thanks for the repost, I was about to do so by myself but you saved the day ;D
My original CD rom of gold didn't loop the whole thing like that,It actually played different songs on different levels.
I never heard the normal jungle theme on the grow plant/water level on rayman gold.
And I never heard the boss music on the first jungle level because I was standing still for a while. I also remember the jumgle levels using embient jungle noises more and the second jungle theme... so Something's still wrong.
It's really annoying to hear the wrong music everytime. I'd rather turn the music off(I'm used to that because when I had rayman gold, after a while the music stopped working on my XP PC)

I uploaded the fixed soundtrack to Mediafire as a backup mirror: Mediafire Link

Hope that helps my fellow Rayman Fans ^_^

I, too, noticed that even with this soundtrack "fix." I don't think these issues can really be helped.
edit:Nevermind

First, thanks for posting this fix. I was getting confused on not really hearing any music (well really any, because the level's music that was playing instead of Pink Plant Woods wasn't very audible, so I was worried that the music wasn't working).

It's also going to be nice to hear close enough to the original PC CD version as much as possible as opposed to this version. :)

hunvagy: Well, if the game really used parts of the audio tracks in different levels, maybe it would be possible to alter the CueSheet file. But for that someone who has the original Rayman CD should make an ISO + CUE, to see if the tracks are referenced like in our version, as in 20 tracks each starting at 0:00, or if the track parts have their own entries. And then we should check if the Rayman Forever executable is able to use those. Just my 2 Cents anyway.
To answer to this, I do have the original Rayman PC CD on me (as well as the instruction manual as a CD booklet cover and the little warranty card they included - no original box though, because of my father not being a pack rat, but I saved the CD and what I've mentioned). I can give this a shot and then I'll give a crack at the CUE and the exe, but I'm pretty limited in my screwing with capabilities despite a programming background (I'm more higher level languages, not into C++ or C, but luckily I have a boyfriend that does)

Cross your fingers and if anyone could be of assistance, let me know. I would suggest setting up a new thread to work on this added feature. :)

This is very very very strange.

I still have my original Rayman gold CD and the music completely loops wathever level you're playing. And this is the same for all my friends that had the PC version of the game too.

Edit : Here's what wikipedia says about the looping music
"Most PC versions of Rayman had the music and backing SFX tracks for each world combined into one CD audio track, which was repeated throughout most levels within those worlds; including the data track, this made for a total of 20 or 25 (multi-language versions) tracks."

So when is the GOG team going to include this "Fix" with the regular installer?
