For obvious reasons this probably isn't the ideal way to play these games but I thought I'd try some out for the novelty. The games are pretty easy to get running, maybe have to use GE-proton for some movies or just use lutris wine setup.

I have however noticed some weird things with VI's performance, the framerate kinda jumps all over the place. Now the animations are pretty much static images so this isn't a huge deal on paper, but it seems like the game freezes a little whenever you do something. Walking in dungeons is supposed to be pretty fast but every step taken takes like an extra second before you start moving again, and hovering over enemies in battle will pretty obviously freeze a little before the command menu shows up. I'm not sure if this is something to do with linux or the deck itself but no obvious fixes I could think of seemed to do anything.

Also if anyone actually wanted to play this way I noticed VI has a bunch of funky keyboard commands so I made a controller layout to actually utilize them (Make sure the steam shortcut is titled "Rance VI" or "Rance VI - Collapse of Zeth")
