Now, just get it.

Okay here are the details. This is all the raiden fighter games in one. They are the arcade versions and the program uses some type of arcade emulate to run them it has a nice menu and you can turn HD music on and off and screen filtering on and off.

There are a complement of basic yet practical options to go from and the music is epic.

I have a question about the display options: is there a way to rotate the video to keep the original aspect ratio?

As far as I'm aware that is how the aspect ratio is supposed to look. I'm not 100% sure but when I used MAME there was an option used to retain the original aspect ratio and when used the picture still looked tall and rectangle.

Or do you mean you wish to play the game horizontally?, because in that case I don't think so :(

Yes, i mean to rotate the image horizontally and after phisically rotate the monitor into TATE mode, like an arcade monitor;
Like you said, on MAME you can do this; maybe in the next future this display mode will added into the game :(

The game itself doesn't have the ability to do this but your video cards configuration should. If you're using Nividia there is a setting on contro panel that lets you do that.

Just tested this with a 360 controller and works fine. The default controls are a little weird so make sure you change them as well as the "autofire" function which presses the fire button for you as it can mess up some of the planes in this game that require the player to hold down the fire button for a charge shot style attack.

Yes TATE mode is in the game, in the resolution settings make sure you select the "portrait orientation" setting.

Yup. I'll be grabbing as soon as it hits a nice sale. I've got the Android version, but would prefer to use a keyboard or controller to touch.

Is it a good port? The irem arcade hits collection from dotemu was unplayable on my desktop (really bad sound stuttering).

Hi,
Yes absolutely. I am using a wireless MS Xbox 360 gamepad. You just have to select gamepad via the in-game menu and configure the ABYX, Start, and Select buttons. You will still need the mouse for the menus, but all gameplay is gamepad supported. :)

"Playable on portrait orientation monitors + landscape ones (TATE support)"

Does anyone observe the problem that the image is distorted in portrait mode, filling only half of the screen? See attached screen shot.

I can't play this game "on portrait orientation monitors".

There's no sense crying Over every mistake?
The TATE mode is a lie...
