mustafa1453: A little bit of progress in setuping multiplayer game(spoiler - still doesn't work).
So what I've done - firstly I didn't use any hamachi, just found out my global IP, and share it with my sis. Then I opened game, clicked on "Server" and entered my global IP. Then I opened new instance of the game and went to Network game, where I put again my global IP. On this time I managed to see one open game, and I joined it. My sister opened just one instance of the game(she is a client in this case), clicked on network game, and inputed my global IP. He also managed to see my open game. However when she tried to joined it, it showed some unknown error. I assume, it may be due to some closed ports on my local router. Does anybody know which ports RoM uses?
P.S. why I didn't use hamachi? I figure out that even if we have connection with my sis, and I can chat her, I can't ping her due to timeout. So I think it may be some issue with hamachi.
I figured it out. Using Hamachi, these are the steps I used. Might not need these exactly, but it works for me so I'm not messing with it:
- Run Hamahci
- Right click connected other people, then select Details
- Click Settings tab, and change traffic to Allow All
- Run RoM server (not multiplay)
- Set IP to 127.0.0.1
- Shift Click to run second instance of RoM for yourself
- Connect to the server using 127.0.0.1
- Other players should now be able to connect to the server
Also, this gets around the "Lose bag on death for host" bug (undocumented feature)
