Hello friends! Are there any fix to run this game (Evil Islands) in 16:9 resolution without stretching? I know one mod or addon may do it but it is not fully compatible with GOG version. Any advice? Thanks

You could try running it through DgVoodoo.

I found the solution. For the correct work of that mod with GOG version I modified some registry settings. The problem was solved. If anyone need more details I can explain more.

There is one tool for Evil Islands. So named Starter for mods. I don't know may I post here the link... Ok, here is one Russian site allods.gipat.ru. All you need is the app with 1.046.0 digits. Almost direct link to the file is /files/ei/soft/setup%20addon%20v.1.046.0.exe :-)

Run you game at least once before running that file.

Run and Install downloaded file to any folder on the disk (not in the game folder. But sub-folders allowed).

Run Installed tool with Desktop shortcut once. Probably it will ask the CD-Rom when you will try to run the game.

Now you need to fix some incompatibility with GOG version of the game in the registry:
Look in the Regedit tool to this path "\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Gipat.Ru\EI_Starter\EvilIslands\Path Settings"
"CD-ROM PATH" parameter should be changed to same value as in "WORK PATH"

Then you should add new DWORD parameter to "\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Gipat.Ru\EI_Starter\Settings". Name of the parameter is "WideScreen", value is "1".

Now you can start the game using this Starter. I don't know anything about English localization of this tool, sorry. So open the same settings menu item (like in original GOG version) in the opened starter window. Choose your preferred screen resolution and toggle on some options.

And please check the downloaded file with you antivirus software. Just for the security.

If you don't mind that some of the text is a bit stretched in menus/dialogs you can regedit the resolution the game renders at. Works okayish for 2560x1440 ;)

Sorry for the late answer. Here are some screenshots with that mod. But animated loading screen wasn't fixed even with the mod.
