QFG3

I successfully copied my save character file from QFG2 into the game files for 3, but it does NOT recognize my paladin status when I import. (It says I'm a fighter, and I absolutely was promoted.)

This is my first non-thief series play through, and I really don't like this one (but refuse to skip it), so I'd like to get this resolved ASAP, so I can get it over with.

I've also tried adding the patches - including the fan-made one, but either that doesn't solve the problem OR I am not adding those files correctly.

The game should give you the option to change your class to Paladin on import, a measure that was implemented exactly for situations like this.

The problem may actually be with QFG2's export feature - was it the EGA version you played? If it was the VGA version, then I have no clue, but the EGA version of 2 had some weird issues with importing and exporting without patches.

Thanks for your reply - sorry I didn't see it sooner. I was playing EGA and after several tries it did work correctly, but I can't remember why at this point.
