So I'm in Hades on the Rite of Courage, I make my way to the end, get the water and the girl (Erana, if it matters), and I try to leave, but can't seem to find my way out. I can get back to the place on the first screen where I jumped off the ledge to get down, but can't find any way back up. I feel like I'm supposed to be able to get to the left side of the screen rather than the right with the ledge, but can't find any way to do so. Have I fallen victim to a bug, or am I missing something?

So you freed Erana and got water. Out of curiosity, which water did you get? Did you collect water from Lethe or Styx? Also, what class are you playing?

What should happen is that you leave the area where you get the water to go back to the dragon skeleton, then upon exiting that area (from the second story, NOT the first) you will come out on the left side of the first screen; if it isn't doing that, then you've probably missed something. My guess is you either haven't collected the right type of water or you are playing a Paladin (in which case, you might be working on making a Ring of Truth, which has its own requirements).

I'm a Paladin, but I think I did what needs to be done for the Ring of Truth. However, now that I check, it is Lethe water rather than Styx (despite the fact that I gathered it from the last room). And naturally that was my last empty bottle. So I guess I'm screwed?

Damn. Do you have a save you can reload? Since the Mystic Magnets don't work in Hades, you can't just warp back out.

Nope, saved over both my games while in Hades. (sigh.) I love the series and really wanted to like this game, but it is just such a freaking hassle. Oh well, thanks for the help!

You could try using a save-state editor to add an extra amphora:

This little program helped me out immensely when the character import bugged up and removed some of my spells.

Interesting! Never knew such a thing existed. After this mishap and a series of others I'm pretty thoroughly sick of the game and am taking a break from it, but maybe when I get back I'll take a look. Thanks again!
