Is there a GOG launcher app for games installed under GOG Games folder, where you could access which game to run without recurring to shortcuts in the desktop?

That would be very useful!

That would be very useful!
No official one yet, though Galaxy should take care of that. There are a few unofficial ones being made, but not released yet.
And there should also be a GOG.com folder in the start menu, with shortcuts to the individual games, though not sure how well that works with Windows 8.
