hudfreegamer: Here's what I found:

Quake II RTX uses ray tracing, which simulates light rays instead of faking them like most games / video card do.
So, it requires the latest Nvidia video card cards that support ray tracing. It will not work with older video cards.
If you want your version of Quake II to look better with your current video card, you could try a Quake II source port called Quake2XP.
video showing Quake2XP:
https://youtu.be/0uurJ-zjhok You can download it from moddb (you need to download and install version 1.26.8 and then the 1.26.9 beta update):
https://www.moddb.com/mods/quake-2-xp This requires the original Quake II game files.
As always, use a virus scanning program before running any programs you download. The Quake2XP source port is huge, so you'll probably just want to unpack and then scan the dll files and the new executable files that Quake2XP uses to run the game.
I like to use virustotal.com to scan files.
THANKS for the information. I'll check into the websites you mentioned. I do have a fairly recent Nvidia card, but I'll have to make sure if it has the latest RTX functionality to it.
