I've tried quake 4 with windows 10 but it didn't work so maybe gog.com could get it for download and hopefully it will work with windows 10.

This is one of the reasons I'm reluctant to move past Windows 7. You've got the "universal update" issue, then the all-to-common compatibility issue.
