FulVal: Will never happen here

RottenRotz: it just did.
No, it didn't. There is no game update for me.

BoomerNoob: The Unity Ports of Doom/Doom 2 never came so Quake will probably also skip GoG. You need a Bethesda Account to play multiplayer and use the Addon feature after all.
I did not have to log into a bethesda account to play online multiplayer. Not sure where you got that from.

edit: apparently I am wrong on this. I did not specifically log into bethesda.net, but I was auto logged in. Guess I synced my Steam account a while back.

I know it sucks, but I kind of hope the remaster doesn't come to GOG. The remaster's "original game" mode is the same one from Steam that doesn't have any music with it. Quake The Offering is the only place you can get the original CD images with lossless CD audio music intact. If it's replaced with the remaster that might be lost.

Waiting sucks when everyone else (on other game stores) is already having fun shooting Ogres into pieces in that new episode. Had hope we would be able to have the same amount of fun this weekend. That hope is gone now. :(

Berzerk2k2: GOG team member SmollestLight has confirmed that we'll be getting the new update soon too. :)
Yup, better news than I expected :)

My patience is really low lately. Especially when it comes to an update that should have been here the same day other game stores recieved it since the original game is still being sold here.

Exactly! What is Bethesda waiting for?!

I suspect they were waiting for the sale to end, since GOG had a discount and Steam didn't.

I suspect that the confirmation was just a guess and just like Doom 64 (which was also published by Bethesda and developed by Nightdive) we get nothing once more. Otherwise we would all be shooting Shamblers in that new episode now.

Three work days should be enough time to remove the drm (if there is any drm at all), make achievements work in GOG Galaxy (ND should know how to do this since they have other games with achievements here) and make sure that all multiplayer functions (crossplay, co-op etc.) work.
It will probably be in the same situation as the Quake II RTX release that had their GOG release after 2 years on Steam...

For me, this is a huge reason not to buy from gog ever again. I still haven't made my mind up but this is really bad.
I hope we get it at some point though I'm not sure how the multiplayer will work if it's tied to steam(or a bethesda account for that matter). :\

Quake II RTX is a NVIDIA release, not Bethesda
