I started playing Quake 3 again recently, but it's showing it's age.

So, I installed ioquake 3 which updates the engine.

However, now whenever I kill an enemy in the game, a large number "1" appears above the body and then floats up and fades away.

How can I disable the number 1 from appearing like that above all the bodies?
I figured out a solution.

Create a text file in notepad.

Add this text to it:

seta cl_noprint "1"
seta cg_scorePlums "0"

Then, save the file with the name: autoexec.cfg

And save it to your ioquake3/baseq3 directory

The first line you add will disable messages (for example, all the stuff like telling you who died, messages, etc)
The second command is what disables the number appearing over bodies.

I believe that by default it was off in the normal Quake 3, but turned on in ioquake3.
I can't get ioquake 3 anymore which sucks hard. anyway to play at 1080p?

What do you mean you can't get it anymore? The website is up and downloading the files works 100%.

Yep. The Engine and Data installers are needed. The third one is for a extra game mode.
