As far as I can see, all the in-game resolutions are 4:3 ones. Does anyone know if it is possible to get this game to run in widescreen, say, 1680x1050?

Same problem with 5:4 screen. The game crash if the resolution is not the same.
The resolutions appear to be set in the config.ini by a single number, between 1 (low) and 9 (highest - 1600x1200 or whatever it is) depending on the resolution selected in the game.
I suspect that it's not possible to get it to run with a widescreen resolution.
You can take comfort in the fact that having a wider screen wouldn't actually help - you'd either see the floor, or less of the table at once.

Yeah, but it wouldn't be stretched. I gotta fiddle around with the aspect ratio settings some more. This game isn't recognized as 4:3 with my current settings.
Where's config.ini, I don't see one.
Anyway there's still the problem of game crash when you set some resolutions.

On XP, for a default installation, it would be located in C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Pure Pinball 2.0\Config
For Vista it'd likely be somewhere in C:\Users\Yourname\AppData\ - I can't remember the proper location offhand.

Agreed, I seem to be having problems with the resolution above 1024x768. That's probably worth a separate post.

Ok, but still cant find config.ini. There's only a setting.cfg and it's binary.

Oops - well spotted, settings.ini is the correct file.
And it is binary, as you noted - the resolution appears at offset 0020 as a single hex value.

See, this is information you might have divulged to begin with :-/
