nasKoo: Sorry for that annoying bug. I've tested a fix and it works on my end, but please let me know if you are still unable to open doors. Should be up within the hour (42.0.1.1).
Thank you for the quick fix! Keep up the good work <3

Wasn't expecting a fix so quickly, damn! Time to bash some more zombie heads in.

You're all good, my dude. I just thought it was odd that the problem was present on the GOG build but not the Steam one. Anyway, I tested for 30 seconds (and hoping for much longer here in a bit) and it seems to be fixed. Thanks for the quick turnaround!
Everything is fine now. Thank you nasKoo :)

nasKoo: The Windows version should be up on the Unstable branch right now.

I am uploading Linux as we speak and Mac will follow soon after.
Is the Unstable Linux version uploaded? I only find 41.71 for the Linux Beta Unstable version.

I'll email them about making the offline installers available, it might be something that gets done after the holidays, though, if it's still a thing for Unstable builds.
Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime.

nasKoo:
Just wanted to ask the same question, as we Linux folks unfortunately can not use GOG-Galaxy (for the Linux native stuff a least).
Looks like I have to watch some more B42 tips and tricks YT Videos in the meantime.

Merry Christmas, anyway.

Can't wait to try Build 42 on Linux. Merry Christmas!
Still waiting... is this normal here?

If GOG employees have to do and provide the "offline" installers, after such a long time, they probably not even know anymore how they handled the PZ betas in the past :/ as for GOG it is not normal to provide (separate) betas in the first place, unfortunately.
Or at least they have no good solution for betas, just take a look at the "Manor Lords" section of this forum if you want to know more.

(And "Release the GOG Galaxy client for linux" is maybe on top of the GOG Galaxy related wish list for a reason)

At the moment I hope that the GOG employees that know how to handle this just have extended holidays and that with the new year things starts to pick up speed.

Alright then, I installed B42 in WINE using Galaxy 2.0.73.27 from July 2023 because that's what the GOG Galaxy install script on Lutris.net downloads by default. The PZ Galaxy installer didn't work and the main Galaxy page seems to detect that I'm not using a Windows browser so it doesn't give me a download link. It was pretty painful. A Linux version of Galaxy (with Proton!) would be helpful but offline installers would be better and more in the spirit of DRM-free game preservation. GOG has been selling IN-DEV games for years now, they ought to have a better system for updating the offline downloads.

I was wondering the same thing, this is starting to piss me off. GoG really needs to step up.
I'm another Linux user eagerly awaiting a B42 installer download so I can try out B42. The main reason I buy from GOG is because, unlike steam, I get downloadable files that I can always use to reinstall my games even if something happens to the marketplace/service I bought the game from. It's just a little frustrating when new versions aren't made available though.
Is the linux downloadable file to play offline really something that is gonna be done?
