Everytime i finish a level and get to loading screen when it finishes i get back to the main menu.
Tried reinstalling the game and starting new game.
No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet. If you can help, add your reply

I can't confirm this. Progress saves just fine in v1.0.0.2.1. Check if your AV program is maybe blocking the game from saving the progress.

I can confirm this. I started playing the game since the most recent patch, and I can't progress any further than episode 2 map 3. The game keeps bringing me back to the main menu and from there, I can go back to the hub and restart the level, which then returns me to the main menu again after completing it.

I don't have any programs running in the background, no virus scanners, nothing. Everything worked just fine up until this point in the game.

If it proves anything, it would be that it works fine for some and not for others (including me).

Between playing the levels to progress in the game normally, I also exploited the first boss stage over and over again to get more upgrade points (via level select in the main menu). Maybe this has something to do with it? I did do this many times before though, without any problems. It only started happening after finishing E2M3.

Ok so i tried doing some things and figured out something. You can play the game but you have to delete your save manually. That way you can play the game.

Hi!

Sadly we did not manage to reproduce the ongoing situation. Could you specify more details? It would make it much easier!

As the game now uses a different save location, you could try clearing the registry as there may be some old settings stored.

This is exactly what I had to do. Because the new save file takes info from the old pre-patch registry info, it seems to create some kind of weird bug where you can't progress certain levels. The only way I was able to fix it was to delete both the old registry data from my pre-patch game and the save file created by the new patch. This solved it (though I had to restart my progress from scratch).
