Does anyone know if it's possible to get a wide screen resolution for Sands of Time - like 1650*1080?
Not that it's really that necessary - game still looks awesome without - but it would be cool though :-)

Possibly edit the config file? I'm going to be trying this out tomorrow when I buy the game..will let you know if you haven't figured out anything yourself.

1650x1080 ?? That's a strange resolution, I'm sure you mean 1680x1050 ;)
It's possible to get widescreen resolution, here's the solution:
http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/UniWS
Run "uniws.exe", chose the game you want to patch from the drop down menu (Prince of Persia The Sands of Time in this case), browse your game folder where the "POP.EXE" is located and type in the bottom the new resolution you want to add. There's a note on the right telling you "Patches any game version, but only works on a cracked POP.EXE." but I tested it and it works well on the GOG "POP.EXE".
Then just click "Patch" and you're done. Start the game and now you will be able to pick the new resolution in the graphics option.

1680*1050 of course :-)
I actually already tried that widescreen-thingy but it probably didn't work because I entered an illegitimate aspect ratio. Will have to try again when I get home.
Thanks for the tip! :-)

Make sure you type in a resolution your Display and Video card actually supports, other than that Good luck!

Worked for me! Thanks for that -- I probably would've just left it at the lower resolution otherwise. Damn it looks gorgeous too. :D

Wonderful, with this utility I can play the game in 1280x1024 unavailable by default. Thanks for the tip!

It does change the resolution, but the health bar has disappears off the top of the screen.
Still it looks a lot better than it did.
Added: OK, health bar came back after I quit and went back in. Problem solved. Yay!

I can see individual grains of sand with resolution 1680x1050, imagining drilling for oil in the sand now and getting tar out.
Doesn't work for 1366 x 768 for me. :(
After I select the PoP.exe folder location in uniws, it still won't let me type any resolution in the width and height boxes. Am I missing something?
