SPOILER:
I'm also having problems figuring out how to get the dome open. I have placed the bomb on the door, but how to set it off? I guess you'll have to use the transmitter, but its battery is dead. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the transmitter working.

Energy is detected at the junkpile place. Without any spoilers try to find where the energy is there. Hope this helps without giving the answer exactly.

While you can get batteries for the transmitter, you can't use the transmitter to detonate any bombs in the demo.

That's because GoG demo is slightly longer than the one from the publisher's website.

Got the full version today and I'm also stuck at the front door to the dome. Just replayed everything from the demo since the saves were unfortunately not compatible...an now this. Tried everything, now I just feel frustrated. Any hints?

Hint:

you need a code to detonate the bomb on the door. you need a 4 digit number (you should have all the numbers you need from Goliath encounter and bomb collar). transmitter needs a battery, making a mobile energy detector will help fling the battery for the transmitter. (when you use the energy detector, moving your mouse over different objects on the screen will make the screen on energy detector light up when energy is detected)... hope that doesn't spoil too much.
