I just got the game and patched it, yet it seems the mouse behavior is way off.
It moves very slowly unless I physically move it really fast. Like the acceleration is bonkers.
I read that disabling 'Enhance pointer precision' in windows helps some people, but I like having it on for all other uses, and I don't intend to jump back and forth every time I want to play the game.
Is there any other workaround for it that won't affect the rest of my system?

Probably changing the mouse setting is your best option. I realize it's a pain, but it shouldn't take you that many sessions to beat the game, anyway. Wish I had some better fix.

Actually I'm also getting this high acceleration behavior, even though "enhance pointer precision" is disabled in my mouse settings. The crazy acceleration only seems to occur if I use one of the non-default graphic filters in the game settings, though; on the default setting, the mouse behavior in-game is fine (though the tradeoff is that the game doesn't look as nice on my 1080p monitor).

EDIT: Like some others who reported this, I am a G700 mouse user. I tried the solutions given in the referenced forum threads (uninstalling Logitech mouse software and checking-unchecking pointer precision). Unfortunately, neither solution had any effect in my case.

EDIT 2: Just tested out Blackwell Legacy, and it's the same situation with the mouse (pointer behaves fine on default game settings, but very high acceleration if I increase the graphic resolution), so I gather it's an issue that is native to AGS with certain mice.

Very odd. Wish I could help, but this is well beyond my abilities. Maybe try the AGS forums?

Yeah, I'll look around and see what people say. Ultimately, I can adjust fine to this. There are other games (like Alan Wake) where the acceleration is a bigger problem because of the type of game it is. But for point-and-click adventures it's not a big deal.
