So a lot of people are really unhappy with the new voice of the Postal Dude in Postal 4. I had a thought that might help with it, but would probably not be feasible until further along in the game's development.

Basically, voicepacks. Potentially allowing mods for it, but if nothing else, selectable voicepacks. Then, instead of trying to go after Rick Hunter, you can contact the staff in Civvie's Dungeon and have them force Civvie 11 to do the voice of the Postal Dude.

I think that'd be a fair compromise. People could select which voice they like best then.

On a more serious note though; figured I would throw in that potential avenue of exploration. Maybe not for Civvie11 (Although that'd be pretty cool, not gonna lie, ask him for me), but for the potential for the madmen out there to mod the voicelines at their discretion.

I actually thought about voice packs. Would be a nice DLC and extra money for RWS option if priced fairly.

Imagine having like 3 or more voice packs to choose from and have the Postal Dude use a squeaky voice or of course what most want, something closer to his "original" voice.
Yeah, DLC is an option. Hell, if the game sells well enough, they might even be able to afford giving away a free voicepack.

I think they've got options. Though I'll be honest, even if the only voice we have is what we have now, I'd be fine with that. I think the game is still gonna be as fun as it should be.

Though I do understand the criticisms/disappointment when it comes to the voice as well.

Yeah, the voice isnt the most important aspect of a Postal game. Its how you got about finishing the tasks every day.
Totally. And it's shaping up to give you a variety of methods in which to solve tasks.

Just did another run of the Prison Guard job. This time with the knowledge of what the "actual reset code" is, alongside trying out a pacifist/non-lethal run. There's a bit of cheeky humor going on there, and sadly the result is still the same in terms of being fired.

Hmm. Wonder if that might be a subtle nod to Postal 3, though. Going Pacifist just makes it harder, not necessarily "better".

So far I've been able to complete everything but the Sewer Job, which pretty consistently crashes when it tries to load into the area, but hey. It IS an Early Access Janky Build.

"No third game is known to exist" - RWS

Im glad they basically made this a open alpha testing. Pretty cool to see a game go from early stage to finished. And if you buy it now you safe money as the more it gets to be finished, the price goes up, which it obviously should.
Hahaha, have you seen the stream Mike did with Civvie? Well worth a watch if you haven't yet.

But yeah, it's a pretty nifty deal, you get early access to the content as it comes in, and you save some money while also supporting the developers.

That's a pretty good winning situation all around for everyone involved.
