Hello, I have an original CD of Port Royale and it was absolutely working on old PC (maybe Win 98 or XP was there), but today I have Windows 10 on laptop Lenovo Y580 and it has the "Walhalla problem" which, thank to you guys, I solved, but there is one more problem, when I start the game, there is video, its OK, the problem starts in Menu, there is flickering / flashing / blinking whole display, even in the game. I don't know what to do, I tried to look it up, but nothing found.
Could it be because of display frequency? or something like that?

Please, help.

Did you already try to force a certain resolution (HZ) ?

This sometimes help....or in other words instead of Windows selecting the refresh rate, set it to a fix rate (i.e. you display can do 60 HZ) set it to a fixed rate....might help....sometimes the ini-files are not so good....
I experienced the same problem under Windows 10 and reported it. This was gog.com's response:

"Unfortunately your operating system is not supported in this game. We weren't able to make the game work reliably on our test computers running that system. Because of this, this system is not listed among the compatible ones on the product page. I apologize for the inconvenience."

Thank you, it will be that probem :)
Playing the game in "windowed" mode resolves this even in Windows 10. I am still trying to find a way to play it windowed at a higher resolution. No matter what resolution you choose, it doesn't actually change it from what I've seen. I am looking into that still.

Oh, to do this, open the properties of the shortcut. In the target, add a space and /windowed to the end. You must have a space after the quotes and then put in the /windowed text.
