Has anyone gotten this to work in Windows 7?

I've seen the other threads and tried both D3DWindower and dxwnd with various configurations and so far no luck.

It's not a necessity, I just prefer windowed mode, and the game is stretched in full-screen.

Got it working! Turns out the popTB.exe was set to run in compatibility mode for Windows 95. Turned that off and dxwnd worked!

There are actually configs that come with the latest dxwnd for Populous TB. They didn't work until I changed the compatibility settings on the exe. I don't think I modified them significantly, but here it is anyway:
