I've been playing the game at my home desktop and just recently installed it on my laptop. I wanted to continue the same saved games, but can't find them on the installation folder. Is there anything I'm missing? Could someone point me to the location of the files?
You should have a "save" folder inside your "Planescape Torment" folder. If you haven't saved a game on your laptop, then the "save" folder probably hasn't been created yet.

If you're running Vista/Windows 7 with the game installed into Program Files the saves might be in the virtual store :

"...appdata\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\"

I have 4 different saved games, but no save folder on the installation path (C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Planescape Torment)

I saved some games on both computers and the folder isn't there.

Forgot to mention that I have Qwinn's mods, not sure if they change the way the files are saved...

Can't find this folder, where exactly is it?

By default, this location is

C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Application_name
Hmmm, that avatar looks familiar.
For the record, Kezardin's solution works just fine. Thanks
Count me as another user helped by this thread. Except in my case it's the restoration of OLD save files. Thank you, Kezardin.

Thanks, seemed to work for me fine. Planescape was crashing off and on, decided to run in compatibility, messed it up with the saves. Found the saves, stopped running in compatibility, replaced the saves. Saves back, still crashed.

Went to the Torment.ini (that was in the same directory as the saves) edited the Cache from =1 to =1000 ... So far, this is working for me. I'll edit this if it continues to give me problems.

Edit: So... it is several hours later (of which I did take a break to eat while it was running so maybe an hour or so less), but it did indeed crash again.

Have you tried deleting all the files in the /temp and /cache folders ?

I'll try it out thanks!

Apparently though, the problem was just entering and leaving Mabbeth's place. When playing last night it'd freeze during the game every other hour (after autosaves, which made me shrug it) and it froze some 5+ times during her whole mage questline. So, I'll edit this to how it treats me later, but it's actually not so much a problem now. (Haha, just gotta figure out how to open the portal to get to the Buried Village)

Also, something that may be pointed out to some people, I'm running this on Win 7, and having it set up the way I do (as mentioned above), it's never crashed on exit... ever. So, that could be on the right track.

Thank you brother (Kezardin), I'll definitely edit this to how it goes later.

Edit: After 3 hours or so of gameplay it finally froze. Still no problems on exit. I dunno what's up with that, but it seems that series of hiccups was just Mabeth. Also, got past the town down unda.

So I took saved games from a 32bit machine (that appear to be in the same format) and put them in the folder for the new 64 bit machine and no luck. Any ideas?
