Anyone know where else you can get the widescreen mod from? It seems gibberling, and the back up site as well, are all down and have been for a long time now which makes getting hold of the mod very difficult.

You just need to keep checking the gibberling website. The site has not been down for more than a few hours, that I have seen, and I have only seen it down a couple of times in the last couple of months. I have been checking the site frequently, checking for an updated widescreen v3.06 final release. On average, I check the site a couple of times a week, but sometimes even daily and I rarely see it down. So just check back if you happen to see the site down when you visit, they always seem to come back up.
Heya, do these mods only work through GOG version of the game?

I installed all these mods and now I crash in a lot of places. Like the witches tent where the collectors are.
I got this error when installing the widescreen mod. Can anyone help?

EDIT: problem solved. I need to move the installed files into PST folder.

This is for anyone who misses v-sync after installing all of the mods
I installed every mod successfully but I noticed a lack of v-sync which was not acceptable for me. After a little bit of research I found the ddraw fix and installed it just to find out that it was already included in another mod (Ghostdogs UI most likely) but this gave me the possibility to uninstall the ddraw fix. Now V-sync works and I haven't encountered a single glitch or slowdown - everything seems to work as it should. To find it just google "planescape torment ddraw fix" - I can't post any links for some reason.

Specs:
Win 7 Pro 64Bit
Phenom II X4 965
6GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia Geforce 9600GT (Driver version 320.18)

The graphics card is actually a spare since my GTX 660 Ti is in repair but I'll report my experiences with that once I get it back.

Edit: It's actually not included in a mod but in the GOG Version.

Hi, I've got a problem.

Like an idiot, I failed to read that the better resolution mod would mess with saves. Suspecting it would however, I copied by latest save files to a safe location before I installed it. Although I was able to continue my game fine, the map appears to be broken- leaving any section of Sigil allows me to travel to any other part I've visited. I tried uninstalling the game and deleting the mods and then re-installing, but this issue is still present when I copy over my old save files, even though the old resolution is back. Anyone know if there's any way I can fix this? I really don't want to restart the game, and I'm worried that being able to warp anywhere is going to cause problems later on (plus I don't want to have to de-fog every place I've already been to all over again).

There's a point in the game where the ability to warp to anywhere within sigil upon exiting an area is given to you, around the time you access the lower ward i think, are you sure you didn't just reach this point?
Had problem installing "widescreen-v3.05.exe" on w7x64 Fixed it by running in wxp sp3 compatibility mode (see picture below).

I am also having a problem installing the widescreen mod. After many minutes of updating the Weidu from 229 to 231 I get an error message stating " Problem parsing TP File widescreen.tp2 Too many open files."
I can follow a tutorial but have very little experience troubleshooting this sort of thing. I see Weidu 232 is out, could that be the issue? Do I need to manually replace the Weidu files? That seems a little beyond my scope of knowlegde. I really want to experience this game with the mods, is anyone familiar with this error and way to fix? Thanks,

I am running it on Win7 64. I did not yet try the above posters method of running in xp comparability mode yet, I want to try if there is another fix.

Alexus9188: I had some weird error when trying to install the widescreen patch, seems the GOG installer installs some WeiDu-Stuff (DirectDraw-Fix), I had to delete this file (setup-directdraw.exe or so), before installing the widescreen patch, otherwise the installation of the widescreen patch did not work (Win7x64)

drakkar123: This is because the WeiDu installer for the current Widescreen mod, (currently v3.05) is a bit older. When you run the installer, it checks for other WeiDu mods already installed on the game and it doesn't like newer versions of Weidu. WeiDu is actually a mod installer package system developed for Infinity Engine games that keeps track of your installed mods to keep them compatible with each other. Overall, WeiDu is great, but it does have a couple of quirks, like the one you mentioned. This will likely not be a problem, as soon as the next version of Widescreen mod comes out. In the mean time, you can work around it, jut by making sure you temporarily move other WeiDu mods out of the folder (like the DirectDraw-Fix) and install the Widescreen mod before any other mods (which should be done anyway).
This works! Awesome
Thanks so much for the mods guide! I originally found it from PC Gamer's "Why you should play Torment" video. The bug fixes and replaced content make an incredible game even better. Thanks for all of your hard work!
I haven't yet played the game, but am currently finishing my first playthrough of BG1 and 2. Is activating maximised hp per level, which I assume is the same as in BG, really a good idea? Wouldn't that just be effectively cheating, and making the game too easy?
I'm going to start playing PS:T. I have tried this game earlier, but then got hooked at BG 1 and 2. As I finished BG2's expansion today, I'm thinking about PS:T, though with mods described in the guide, just for better resolution and fixes. I'm worried, though, as I've read that the widescreen mod v 3.05 may cause crashes? Should I use older (v2.20?) or the newer, 3.06 version of the mod?
I strongly recommend new players to use the original guide on Thunderpeel2001's blog ( h t t p : / / thunderpeel2001 . blogspot . c o m / 2009 / 01 / planescape-torment-fully-modded . html ; remove spaces) rather than the guide on GOG. It's mostly the same, but with some (very important IMO) small changes. Honestly, I'm on my first playthrough and I haven't even left the Mortuary, but it makes a big difference, specially regarding the Unfinished Business mod (most importantly, the Morte's Mortuary Moments thing).
Pardon me, but I found that several of the changes that UB made at the beginning were just dumb. Apparently those changes were originally supposed to be there, but meh. It removed several jokes which I found pretty funny (and I guess helped somewhat in building personality for the characters), forgot to mention that you have to pick up a certain item (I'm not so sure it actually forgot...maybe it just would have been considered obvious back in the era of CRPGs?) and spams lore at you that won't matter until later without even explaining some of it. In short, don't install More Morte's Mortuary Moments in the UB mod. Of course, this isn't the only difference between the two guides; among them are a feature that isn't mentioned in GOG's guide (Dustman Robes area restriction removal) and a feature that the GOG guide recommends but is not recommended by the other guide or even the mod creator (Quickload; apparently it's unstable).

TL;DR: First time you're playing? Use this* guide instead of GOG's. Trust me, much better.

Links are perfectly acceptable, here it is with the spaces removed (and the l which seemed to be missing from the end of the address added):

Just so you know, links are perfectly acceptable and there's no need to 'spacify' them. As you're a new user, any clickable links you add will simply redirect back to the page they're on as an anti-spam measure, but you can still post links as text for people to copy paste into their browsers as-is. Provided it's not a link to some shop to buy wedding dresses, to quote one of the weirder spambots I've seen...
