Are you able to play the Gog version in a windowed mode? I really like seeing the graphics pixel perfect - smaller windowed mode. Can the Gog re-release do this? This will make or break my purchase!

Standard PST can be played windowed mode, but you won't be able to see videos unless you set destkop color resolution to 16 bit. There's no reason to believe this would be different for the gog version of PST.

Incidentally, you can install the widescreen mod (http://www.gibberlings3.net/widescreen/) and the GUI mod (http://www.spellholdstudios.net/ie/ghostdogs-pst-ui) to play fullscreen at your native desktop resolution (without losing out on FMVs).

That's a great tip about switching the desktop resolution to the right color resolution!

Thanks for the awesome links!
I just installed the gog version on Ps:T with these mods and they work great. One thing I noticed is the UI mod readme suggests you install Planescape in a non Program Files Directory if you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7.

The install directory can easily be changed by clicking the options button on the GoG installer.

Great tips! Thanks! Now I can't wait to get home and get this puppy installed!

Actually, if you are on Vista or Win7 it is ALWAYS advisable to install games outside of Program Files (e.g. C:\Games\ instead). This is because as of Vista, Windows protects the Program Files folders which often results in save games getting placed elsewhere, but it can also cause games to stop working if they are in Program Files.

What you need to do is open up torment.ini, search for "Full Screen=1" and change it to "Full Screen=0" and it'll run in a window.

I've tried this, but the game still runs fullscreen. Is there anything else I could try, or what could I be doing wrong?

Great! These mods worked. Exactly what I'm looking for. Many thanks!

Now to dive back 10 years.
I'm not sure how to phrase my question, so forgive my ignorance. I recently finished Divine Divinity which I got from here and it was full screened on my computer. I mistakenly assumed that this game would also be "fixed" to work in the same way.

I am using a Dell, with Windows 7, 64 bit, with a 17 inch laptop monitor. I downloaded the game into My Documents, My Games and the game loads fine and is working. But it's very small, and I have a vision problem.

I downloaded the fix from Gibbrlings that was mentioned here, but never cold find the exe file. Things look different to me since I'm not using the regular computer programs file. I don't really know anything much about computers, so figured I better stop while I was ahead and ask for help.

I read on another thread here somewhere about checking the ini file and seeing what it was set on, but I can't read the ini file in My Games folder, it's just a white square with no perameters.

I don't want the game to look blurry, so if making it wider is going to make it fuzzy, I'll just pass.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
When I quit the game, Windows 7 (64 bit) says there is an error and terminates the program with no other info. I am running as admin, full screen. Apart from that the game seems to run fine.
I have latest drivers and WIn 7 fixes on

yes, that's happening for all users of win7 x64 but since it's not gamebreaking you can ignore it. no savegames get corrupted.

Anyone know where I can get the widescreen mod and the rest? The sites posted are no longer valid.
