So, basically, they add no new content, use mod available from the first release and don't allow me to install the unfinished business and all the other mods. This is "enhanced" how?

Thankfully I still own a physical copy...

Unfinished business will need to be updated, also the ee version will have better support for mods. if you read what it says about it, people can install it once its been updated to work with the ee version. that goes for other mods as well. Should also be a lot easier to maintain,

I'm personally glad there is no new content, after what happened to BG , I think its a lot better to keep PST pretty much the same. Overall, I am looking forward to the ee version.
According to Beamdog, the game is set to release at 2pm EDT, so for me 5pm EST. I asked if this was the time for GOG also, they replied YES on Twitter!

Was curious at what time it would release, thanks for the update!

Pity it's so late, that will be 10 PM GMT, yet on steam, it says there is 8 hours to go? which would be about 4 PM, I just wish the game would be released a bit sooner.
in my library it says: 12:51:36 :(

Most of the changes are under the hood. They ported it to their modified BG2 engine, the underlying UI code has all been rewritten, so the UI is now highly moddable. The underlying code for the spell system has been completely rewritten. Plus, there's a bunch of opcodes and new functionality that's exposed to modders instead of being hard coded.
It didn't take long for BG1 and 2 mods to get updated when their EEs came out, so it shouldn't take very long for PST. One of the beta testers created a containers mod a couple of days after testing started, so we should start seeing new mods coming out pretty quick.
It was my understanding from Beamdog's FAQ that they contacted Qwinn (Of Unfinished Business fame), and that some of his work has been included in EE.

They did get the OK to use everything in there, but they said in an interview that most of it was dropped. I think Chris Avalone had something to do with this situation.

There are a lot of informations on the official Beamdog forum.
Just an observation, but I have already seen several "negative" reviews disappear from other websites.

Also looks like several fans are asking for positive reviews on GoG on the Beamdog forum:

When I read the negative reviews from metacritic I really like to vomit...

0 Points - Deetress: "Last but not least, the lack of “story mode” is disappointing as I found myself constantly dying in this game."

" I thought Beamdog was a progressive games company and yet the protagonist is an over-privileged heterosexual male who can only date a really hot succubus, Fall-from-Grace and another attractive female, Annah a fiery tiefling."

I find that review amusing, as was its intention, I suspect.

It'll be a long time before people forgive them for SoD.

The trans character in SoD is a non issue to most fans. The fans that complained about the broken MP, the bugs, the railroaded gameplay, and the rotten writing, all got labeled bigots and sexists and whatever by Beamdog. When you throw your fans under the bus so you can play the victim-card, this is what you get.
Does anyone know how to get a hold of Qwinn?

I want to ask him if he has any plans to port Unfinished Business to EE.

Personally I love almost everything from Unfinished Business (Morte's Mortuary dialogue excluded) and don't want to start EE without those in there.
