As you may know if you've played Planescape: Torment far enough, when you enter the Lower Ward for the first time with Morte in your party, he is immediately kidnapped by some damn wererats.

Well I've just gotten Morte back from that bastard Lothar by giving him the skull of the Silent King in exchange. But when Morte returned to the party, all the items in his inventory were gone, like Ingress' teeth, that magical reflective frame thing, and that magical water bottle that's always full of fresh water, and maybe some other stuff too...?

What the hell! Where did that stuff go!? How can I get it all back!? Bastard Lothar!

Please keep further spoilers to a minimum in your answers, please. (I hate spoilers! hehehehe)

When Morte is kidnapped, all the items that he is carrying are dropped on the ground. That's the time you should pick them up. Unfortunately, I think you have 24 hours of game time to retrieve the items or they disappear. Look for the items at the entrance to the Lower Ward to see if they are still there. If they are missing, you might need to revert to an earlier save.

Aw, thanks, man! I was very, very worried that I may have to do something drastic like restart the whole damn game all over again even though I've been playing the game like mad for a long way and time.

Well, I'm still a little worried: I did find ALMOST all of Morte's stuff there on the ground where you said. But Ingress' teeth, which was in one of Morte's Quick Weapon slots, and that power-reflective frame thing, which was in one of his Quick Item slots--these items still seem to be lost. :/

What now to get those back, if possible?
Check your other characters' inventories. All the items should be there on the ground. Ingress' teeth might have ended up in your other characters' inventories though.

They're not on the other characters.

I did see another(?) frame thing being sold by some merchant somewhere, but the price to purchase it is quite high and I gotta make the coppers back again to buy it hehehehe

The closest thing to Ingress' teeth my party has now is some kinda pouch that the Sheena Easton lady with the swishy tail found somewhere, I don't remember where. It seems to be just a pouch. Its description says nothing but like that it's made of some unidentifiable material; it fits into a Quick Item slot, but won't fit into any of Morte's Quick Weapon slots, and I have no idea what to do with it and don't know what its use is at all at this point.

Gosh, how can I get Ingress' teeth back for Morte? ???

It could have disappeared then. You can try reloading an earlier save so that you can get all your items the moment Morte is kidnapped. No idea how to get that item back if it has disappeared and you don't want to reload from such a save. The only thing that comes to mind is to use a save game editor and add it to your inventory but that's kind of cheating.

Hmm, maybe normally that would be cheating. But it seems that in this case it's merely fixing a fluke of a bug that's cheating against me hehehe

Can you recommend a good, easy to use one? (I usually never use those sort of things hehehehe)
I haven't used such an editor for Planescape Torment, only have heard about them.

Try one of these from here:

http://bootstrike.com/Torment/hints.php

http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/Torment/index_editors.php

One of those editors should be able to let you add items.

Make sure to backup your savegame first in case of a corruption.
Ya know what: Before I use one of those editors, lemme ask another question.

Is that the two items are missing because of being in Quick slots in instead of regular Inventory slots a bug? Or is that the way the game is really supposed to be by its original design?

Did you pick the items up immediately after Morte's kidnapping? And, no, I don't think it's how the game was supposed to be; quick slots or inventory slots shouldn't matter. I managed to recover all of Morte's items including Ingress' teeth when he was kidnapped. However, I noticed that they had dropped on the ground the moment he disappeared. I am not sure if you picked the items up immediately after he was kidnapped, or you waited some time to do that. I think that Morte's items vanish forever if you let them stay on the ground for a longer period of game time. In your case, it seems that Ingress' teeth have disappeared completely.
I did not pick them up immediately, but much later. :/

Anyway, that's okay now. I finally got the problem fixed hehehehe
Just in case anyone faces the same problem, here is the way to re-add lost item to your inventory. I personally went tool far away before noticing missing Ingress Teeth I had no earlier saves. I decided to cheat a bit just to add these teeth. So.

1) Close the game and go to "C:\Users\[YourUserName]\Documents\Planescape Torment - Enhanced Edition" folder.
2) There should be a file called "Baldur.lua" or "[Something].lua".
3) Open this file with any text editor like notepad, add the line "SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Debug Mode','1')" without double quotes to this file. Save and close the file.
4) Start the game, load your save.
5) Hit Ctrl+Space, you'll see the terminal window opened. Enter the command "C:CreateItem("[ItemName]")" without double quotes, where [ItemName] is the code of item you wish to add. For example, to add Ingress Teeth, the command you should enter is: "C:CreateItem("ICTEETH")" without outer double quotes.

Hope this helps someone.
