It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

Check compatibility however. Some mods require you to start a new game and you may corrupt your saves.

I only wrote this to be on the safe side ;) :

nondeplumage: How easy would this be for someone who's never modded a game before?
The resolution mod will absolutely invalidate your old saves.

MattHornet: Yes, like ChiliDragon said, a lot of these mods can't be changed or reconfigured without restarting the game, as the save files won't work anymore. Paul, you might put a little warning at the bottom of the post, so people know what to expect.
Good idea.I put a note there that it is not recommended to change mods midgame or use them with earlier savegames.

The guide at Alfabetti Spaghetti that you linked to actually has that warning in step 3, just before it tells you how to install the wide screen mod, but since we all know that people never read warnings or instructions, the more often that warning gets out, the better. Losing 30+ hours of gameplay would suck.

By the way, I experimented a little last night with the wide screen mod. Uninstalling only the mods and then installing them again led to all sorts of really weird and broken graphics, and most of the time the game just crashes instead of starting. So if anyone wants to reinstall the wide screen mod to change resolution, just uninstall everything including the game itself, and start over. That way, it will run when you're done, and run smoothly.

Right, almost forgot. Mods, you have to sticky this. It's vital information.
Thanks for the modding intro. Downloading the game now! Cant wait to give it a try tomorrow.
Is there a similar guide anywhere for Baldurs Gate 1? I can see various fixpacks to download, but I'd love something that steps through which bits should and should not be applied like this PS:T guide.

You need BG2 for it to work though. Next week, perhaps.
I already have BG2 in a box somewhere...
