I'm trying to play the mac version of the game with all the recommended mods installed (as described in the modding guide). The game starts fine and looks awesome in 1440x900 but sadly I encounter lots of crashes, mostly if I drag and drop items around in the inventory.

I have a MacBook Air with OS X El Capitan and an Intel HD 5000 chip.

Any ideas what could cause the crash? I finally want to play the game but the crashes kind of ruin it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Download the new DMG (look for 2.0.0.9 in the file name) or update the game via Galaxy if that's what you are using and let us know if this issue is fixed :)

Thank you. I will try it later and report (after remodding of course). What are the changes in the new DMG? I'll bet it's just a new Wineskin with new engine :-)

Update to Wineskin (again) that fixes a conflict between the Mac printer driver and Wineskin itself :) That's all I really know but it's worth a shot to see if it happens to fix your issue as well :)
Thank you. The Problem persists and I almost certainly narrowed it down to the widescreen mod (which is of course unofficial)

Anyway, what I did:
- fresh install of 2.0.0.9 with Galaxy client
- applied the widescreeen mod v.3.07
- After a bit of dragging and dropping items within the inventroy the game crashes.

Here are the logs created by wine(skin), maybe it helps someone else to debug:

Also having this problem running on Macbook pro, El Capitan. Very interested in the answer as the game is unplayable right now. I tried updating with Galaxy but it didn't fix the problem.

Same problem here.
I am using the latest Planescape: Torment v: 2.0.0.9
The game randomly crashes during gameplay. The crashes are so frequent that the game is pretty much unplayable even when using quick saves.

I followed the steps outlined in the official GOG guide at www.gog.com/news/mod_spotlight_planescape_torment_mods_guide

I suspect the for some reason latest GOG version of PST is not compatible with the Widescreen mod.

System Details:
Mac OSX 10.10.5
4 GHz Intel Core i7
32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096 MB
Although GOG does not support mods, they provided the following suggestion:
-----------------------------------------------------
You can try changing the version of Wineskin and Wine engine. To do this you will need to install Wineskin Winery from here:
wineskin.urgesoftware.com/tiki-index.php?page=Downloads
Start the application and use it to download additional versions of Wine (by clicking +).
Now you should be able to right click the game's app, select Show Package Contents and run Wineskin.app.
If the Wineskin.app is not there go to Contents > Resources > game, right-click the game's app select Show Package Contents and open Wineskin.app.
In the Advanced options change the engine to the one you have downloaded.
-----------------------------------------------------

I tried that using the latest Wine engine, but the game still crashes.
Has anybody stumbled upon a Wineskin engine that fixes the crashing issue? I have random crashes with all the recommended mods, sometimes every few minutes for no apparently repeating reason, and sometimes I can go an hour with no crashes.
Same to all this, has anyone found a fix?
