Sites saying you need a great wisdon but it if you dont put in some good dex ans con and strengt your fucked and since you start only 2 people wich both cant use armour your scewed, everybody thinks this is the greatest rpg game i think that isnt true, I finished baldurs gate wich i rather do then this shit.
The game has fairly little combat, but if you struggle with it you can mostly ignore combat. You can try to run away from a fair bit of it. For example by using the strongest character and rushing him across the screen or to a door. When he transfers everybody else transfers automatically too.

At the hives you get fairly lot of combat the struggle is that not a lot of areas where you can rest.
True, there aren't many areas to rest, but there isn't really that much combat in the hive either. There are the thugs that sometimes attack you, but after a while they're more a nuance than a threat. There is the one area with lots of fighting between those two groups (you have probably been there, but I'll try to keep it low-spoiler nevertheless). Just make sure you attack with all your characters on one enemy at the time, and when you see him/her fall you change to somebody else (use spacebar to pause if you wish). In Torment party characters don't attack enemies on their own unless you order them, even with AI on.

I had a high wisdom and intelligence character too and it's certainly doable, but a little strainful in the beginning. Use heart charms and such if you struggle and rest often. Wandering about if needed to resting places.

Well i let my self die 1 and ended up near that person who i needed to speak to. So now fnding my way in the catacombs i like that monsters dont chase you, i had warerats I ran away from but they didnt chase me.
You get 21 points to distribute at the start so even with 18 wisdom and 18 con there are still 3 to spare. With 18 instead of 9 con you get more than twice the hitpoints and regenerate 4 times as fast, if you raise con even further you'll feel invincible and complain about combat being too easy.

As you wish. I don't think you need it for carrying capacity or important dialogue but doing more damage is fun. As long as you have wis for dialogue and con for survival you'll do fine.
My character started with 16 str, 18 wis and 14con, used the next 3 level ups to raise str to 18 and wis to 19 and started raising int afterwards.

No one ever said Torment was the best RPG ever because of its combat system. In fact I will admit that the combat is one of the key weaknesses of the game. It's particularly arduous on lower levels, so stocking up on healing items is recommended (I don't think there's much reason to accrue money over the course of the game, so go ahead). Also, what's so great about the low-level combat in Baldur's Gate? Anything that does 1d6 damage or more has a reasonably good chance of nailing you in one or two hits, healing items cost a fortune and your daily rest is interrupted by black bears that are only too happy to hand your ass to you the instant you wake up. Don't get me wrong, I love Baldur's Gate, but the first few levels are such a pain in the ass that I wouldn't mind if the game let you begin at level three.

Anyway, back to Torment. I dumped STR, DEX and CON right in the beginning and not once did I feel like raising any of them. Then again I did make TNO a mage as soon as I could, so most of the time he was behind everyone else anyway.

Because in baldurs gate you can rest everywhere and the game doesnt say its to dngerous to rest here, If i need to rest I want to do that even if its on lava that its dangerous that is my own problem and it takes the fun away if the game tells you where you may rest.
And you could compisate your weakness with your party members.1 char str con high other wis int.
TNO (the main guy) can get through the whole game just fine as a fighter with a fistiron and 9 Strength. The important stats really are Wis (for bonus XP, and dialog options) and Int / Cha (for dialog options). Once those are all set (18 wis to start, in game bonuses will do the rest just fine; Int 15 and Cha 13 should also be good) then you can just put every point you get into Con. You'll be very tough just by having a high Con score, you don't need Dex or Str above 9 (you can get hit and AC bonuses from tattoos).

Also, you should look up the fixpack and the tweakpack. The fixpack solves all sorts of bugs (literally thousands of small things), and the tweakpack lets you, among other things, rest anywhere if you want. Except, if you could rest anywhere the game would just be stupidly easy.

If you need a place to rest while in the hive, the flophouse lets you rest for 5cp.

Also, the only two characters who ever get armor options are the two girls you get, have fun playing dress up :3
I've played through the game numerous times with different builds. It's definitely more challenging if you're making a wisdom build but it's doable.
It's better because of the story, of the way you can solve things, because of the lack of clichés, NOT because it's easier than other isometric cRPGs.
I cannot tell you such good advices as the people before me, mainly because I didn't really gave too much about dying or fighting.
It's different from other rpgs. If you die in this game, you don't have to reload the game for example.
It's more about talking than fighting and casting your way through the game. You should get used to running and dying.
