Dying can be beneficial in the game. There's at least one quest you can't do if you never die.
Death is also the only way to cure TNO and the other party members from the permanent thac0 penalty the ice knife spell can cause.

hercufles: Yeah but i still reload the game after dying.
Yeah but this is dumb. TNO has a special power to raise dead on a party member 3/day, and he brings himself back to life all the time obviously, so there's usually no reason to load. Unless you've spent a ton on buff scrolls for a specific fight and you need those buffs back, but that's pretty rare.

I used to reload all the time to, because of the semi-irrational fear that the game might punish me for dying frequently in the long run, that the cumulative effects of some "side effects" of dying will start showing later in the game. After reading some info about the game, I realised nothing of that sort exists in PS:T, but I still reload for roleplaying reasons, i.e. I don't want some poor soul to die instead of me.
Oh well I started the game over and just left the first erea i hope i dint have made the wrong descision again now made a more warrior char with less ac.

Okay, there was the confusion, sorry. Because later you may have to die willingly to get stuff (I don't want to spoil you anything).

Hmm...
Actually even if you die, you gain some XP, so after a while you can level up enough to... ehh... survive! :)
I know, it's not such a good idea.
I'll assume this is right in the start, cause I didn't have much problems surviving, and I too started with 10 AC and pretty lousy hitpoints. Just try to engage enemies one at a time, and if you have more people in your party, have all of them attack one enemy at a time (not one per enemy).

Once you level up a few levels it will be much easier as you should get 10 hit points per level up*

Also, try to use weapons you are proficient in. If I recall correctly you start off with proficiency in edged and fists, so focus on that until you can add proficiency points of your own. I kept going for edged though, which worked well enough throughout the game.
If you think Planescape Torment is hard....then there's a slew of classic RPGs you probably shouldn't play.

That said, most classic RPGs necessitate a certain amount of research and knowledge of the game before playing if you aim to avoid frustration...things aren't always obvious to player, like most games these days.

Hope you work through your frustrations and enjoy what is probably the single best story ever told in a videogame.

Oh, and by the way....the most important skills are INT, CHAR, & WIS....dont really think I put a single point in anything else when I played through the game.
No big fat green arrows pointing you in the right direction in this game, that's for sure - and thank goodness for that!

It's rare for a game to have a truly great story, and this game has the best in the business. Not to put expectations way over the top, but it is rather good, and much deeper than anything else you'll come across.
Well planescape itself is hard, I have finished baldurs gate so its not because off my lack of knowledge. I hate that arrow too, i rather explore every inch of the map.
The party size is 3 now I hope I get less diffeculties now.
