Just beat it and was reading the credits when I noticed Dan Castellaneta's name as one of the recruitable characters. How did I miss that?

Holy crap indeed. Who is he voicing?

And if you say "Dakkon" I will finally be forced to admit that he actually is talented. :p
Nordom = Dan Castellaneta (Homer)

Dak'kon = Mitch Pileggi (X-Files & Sons of Anarchy)

At least Dak'kon is voiced by someone who's cool. :D

I still feel compelled to admit Castellaneta actually has talent though. Mainly because I'd never have dreamed that was him! And I can't believe I missed it either....

Fucking Skinner? Are you serious? How do you even get Nordom? I thought I played pretty thoroughly, but I guess not.

You can pick him up at the Modron place, if I remember right.

Ah figures. That was the one quest I put off, and when I finally got back to Sigil the dude was gone. Ended up buying the cube from the Trader in Clerks Ward.

The cube you bought from the trader can bring you to the place where you find Nordom. I'll leave it up to you to find out the details :)
It's a shame Nordom is such a difficult character to get, considering the voice actor. Also, there isn't really room for both Vhailor and Nordom in most parties - I hate having to choose between them.

I wish there were more spoken lines in this game. Such a waste of a talented cast.

He plays the Robot Devil in Futurama too, maybe he has a thing about dangerous but sort of loveable machines, I know I do (I have a movie idea thats sort of like Herbie Goes Bananas but involves an M1A1 Abrams tank)

It was a side effect of the crappy audio compression of the times, also of the giant script that would have doubled the cost of the game to fully voice.

Doubled!? Don't underestimate! It would probably cost the poor people their vocal chords...
There's just as much, probably more, dialogue in The Witcher and it's all spoken.

Most of the paragraphs in this game are 75% descriptive. I still don't see why they bothered with VAs when they only had them perform 3 lines of dialogue each.

Well yeah, but those descriptions were a crucial part of the dialogue.
Of course, they were fantastic. I was just pointing out that they wouldnt need to be voiced is all.

A decade of technology progress after Torment. ;)

Audio compression without quality loss is lightyears from where it was back in the late 90's, not to mention: DVDs.

You really can't compare the two.
