It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

I've installed PST twice now in Windows 7 64-bit (2nd time using XP compatibility and admin mode) and everything runs fine each time, but when I open the game, the buttons to select "New Game", "Quit", etc. are missing - just black spaces.

If I click where "New Game" should be I move to the character creation screen, but can only see the background image, attribute names and green +/- buttons, no attribute scores or text.

Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

(PS: running a Sony Vaio laptop with ATI graphics)

Try another mode of DDrawFix. Go to the game's installation directory and run setup-ddrawfix.exe. Now choose another mode (usually it's 2 after installation), e.g. 3 for WineD3D

Thanks, but I don't see a setup-ddrawfix file anywhere in there??

I tried copying the ddraw files from BG2 and it ran fine, but then PST crashed on start-up regardless of the ddraw mode I chose.

It's right in the game's installation folder:
..\Planescape Torment\setup-ddrawfix.exe

(the ending ".exe" could be hidden on your system, but not the file itself)
