I just downloaded PST to see if it would run better then the DVD version of the game, bad news is it doesn't.

The problem with the graphics is that the characters have a strange almost transparent box around them which flickers as well as all menu's in the game to some extent, was wondering if there was a fix for this, i am running vanilla game with no mods last time i tried to use the widescreen mod it blew my comp up.

About the crash it just randomly crashes when i quit the game and windows spams me with program not responding, its not a big problem just annoying.

I actually just managed to find a fix for my graphical problem (the main issue),

i run a Radeon HD 5970 which could've been the problem of it, but i set the Anti-Aliasing (AA) to 16X in the CCC (Catalyst Control Center), and unchecked Morphological filtering box and that seems to have fixed my flickering stuff with the mouse view distance fog and every menu runs fine now,

(I also set all the settings on their highest possible graphical settings in the CCC but only got to meddling with the AA before i fixed the problem, so if changing the AA alone doesn't work try maxing out the other settings).

i mainly wanted to post this if anyone else has problems with this and this may help.

when i quit the game, Windows 7 tell me, that the game crashes (appcrash).

But i you can see the problem is known:
