It came @ 22:30 CET so not much time to try it but so far the feeling is good.
This enhanced version brings a real comfort compared to the old version and I don't see any flaw so far.
As I said not much time to play but so far I would recommend it.

What do you think?

Beamdog made it. If it is made by trash, it ends up being trash by default.
Liking it so far, although I've only played fifteen minutes, so that's no time to make a real judgement. Still, at least they didn't totally re-do the intro like they did with Baldurs Gate EE. The "change font size" is a really welcome addition too, at least for older folk like me (same with the zoom). Yes, a lot of the mods -like widescreen support - were introduced in third-party hacks, but it's nice to have it all pre-bundled so I don't have to do the fiddling myself. Generally, the game looks better than I remember when last I installed the original+mods a few years ago.

Hopefully Beamdog will show the same amount of restraint with the rest of the game as they did with the intro, e.g., no major changes to the story or gameplay but just adding ease-of-use features to update the game to more modern sensibilities. But first impressions are good ;-)

Just to counter Sti* Post... I'am still downloading.... but for me, and what I've read on their Website, only thing I may miss from the Original (which I have in my library) + Mod (Widescreen+GhostDog+Tweaks/fixes/UB) , but I will see once installed, is the restored Morte Intro Sequence.... If it is alike to Icewind EE, it is just the perfect transfer from old data to new systems... (Ok, BG:EE is a total different topic - either go widescreen mod + BGT, or go GemRB, with the orignal data)... Easter Egg Morte (which is a must have for me is downloadable on Beamdogs Site), so I will delay my first impressions to tomorrow - I am now going to be reincarnanated ;p

Sorry to hear, and for debugging purpose I would recommend to report the failure.... Here on Windows 7 (Pro) x64 on a T410 Lenovo it is all working fine (just a few drawbacks with the language it is using per default - taking it from the System, I would prefer EN per default and not my GER/DE System one)

So far, so good. Haven't had any issues, yet, and from what I remember of the original Planescape, this version is hitting all the marks. Once I've played a bit more, I'll report back. For now, though, I have no complaints. It's like re-reading one of my favorite books!

Not working in linux mint serena either:

Running Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition
./Torment: error while loading shared libraries: libjson.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Installing libjson.so.0 through apt has no effect.

EDIT: I fixed this by creating the following soft link:
sudo ln -s /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libjson-c.so.2.0.0 /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libjson.so.0

If it helps, I had access to a review copy and found no issues (As I stated in my GoG review). I am not someone who pulls my punches when it comes to unwanted content, bugs or holding someone to account.

I did not do what I normally do when playing an RPG due to lack of time e.g. explore every quest or talk to every character, so cannot say everything is 100% perfect, it never is, but the experience overall was satisfactory.

So why did you give it a perfect score then?

Ohh yes!

Anyway. He mentioned earlier that he thought the game wasn't 100% perfect, and called it "Satisfactory". I just thought his words about it didn't really seem like it warranted giving the game a 5/5. Sounded more like he thought it was a 3 or 4.
Just finished my first session, almost 2 hours with no issues, technical or otherwise. I haven't played TORMENT in over 15 years, so honestly the EE differences don't seem that dramatic to me: instead, it feels like a low-res, but otherwise comfortable ISO RPG. I notice the full-screen secondary windows, such as inventory, character and map, but that just shows how far the industry has come, in terms of what we expect a "standard UI" to be.

I appreciate the larger font size as well, but I wish they'd extended it to the "what's this?" tooltips that show up in the world. Those seem incredibly tiny compared to other text.

I don't have an attitude or agenda re Beamdog, so I'm happy to revisit this old favorite in new attire. Recommended.
