http://www.weidu.org/~thebigg/WeiDU-Windows-231.zip (Windows Binary)

Extract the master.zip archive and put the "widescreen" folder on your desktop.
Extract WeiDu.exe from WeiDU-Windows-231.zip, to your desktop and rename it Setup-widescreen.exe.

In Planescape, uninstall GhostDog's PST GUI mod, and your current Widescreen mod. Remove the current widescreen mod installation files and put the ones you just extracted / renamed in their place.

Re-install the widescreen mod and Ghostdog's GUI.

Caveat: I have not tested this on games in progress, but if you do, I recommend choosing the same resolutions as you did when you first installed the widescreen mod. Choosing other resolutions may break your game. I would actually recommend not to mess with mods in mid-game, and do it only if you actually can't continue.
Could someone send me version 2.20 if the Widescreen mod, please?

I know there's a 3.06 bèta version that supposedly fixes the PST crashes when entering small area's. I've now installed version 3.0.6 beta, but I'd like to have some options at hand when starting my next playthrough somewhere down the line. (I've never played a modded version of PST.)

The file can be sent to katsunami (at) asmoda (dot) net.

Thanks in advance :)

I can say that I have followed these steps and it got rid of the Art and Curio crash in the bottom right corner. I can't say that this hasn't caused any nasty side-effects as I have only gone in, cleared the fog-of-war and left the building with no crash. That's great because this crash was the reason I stopped paying this game through a few years back. Thanks guy.
Just want to say a major thank you to Aqrit & Scientt for their work on the v3.06b of the widescreen mod; pity that thebigg hasn't updated his mod with this fix yet. Thank you for your efforts Aqrit and Scientt!

aqrit: As of four days ago...

The crash when entering small areas
and the Art gallery "like" crashes

Have both been fixed in the 3.06 dev build
https://github.com/vbigiani/widescreen/archive/master.zip

Distributing or using a version that is 4 years behind in bug fixes is never a good idea.
Does 3.06 work well for Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series or should I just try and use 3.05 or 2.20? I've found a few reports of possible crashing and bugs in 3.05 and 2.20 with BG is why I ask.

Thanks!
This one helped me to get rid of the bug and I was in mid-game!
Glad it worked. Will the widescreen mod ever be officially updated to 3.06 to include this fix for PST?

I've read that Ascension64 fixed the Beregost bug in Baldur's Gate BGT & EasyTuTu in the beginning of 2010; it seemed to be incorporated into BGT quite quickly, but it took to march 2012 before EasyTuTu picked it up.

It would be a pity if the widescreen mod has been fixed for PS:T and nobody can use it because you can only get all the pieces of the puzzle by reading the forums....
gods, someone should pin this solution!

been waitng for this for months, hopefully there wont be more problems in future gameplay for me - started to hate art galleries ;]
Is there anywhere on the widescreen mod documentation that tells me what resolution I set it at?

I can't remember, and the alternative seems to be reinstalling it for the express purpose of picking a resolution that I can write down so I can uninstall it again moments later...

Use notepad to look at SETUP-WIDESCREEN.DEBUG

Thanks! That saved me a bit of trouble and got around certain uncertainty. This widescreen crash was frustrating.
So I tried reinstalling the GUI mod to make the fonts a little bigger, but apparently the GUI mod thought it would be great to erase my main Torment exe because it's not like I want to play the game or anything.

Does anyone have an executable or something? Or do I just need to reinstall the game and hope this moronic bunch of "let's erase the game for fun!" doesn't happen again?

In GhostDog"s-PST-UI /Backup/0 there should be a backup Torment.exe
