Hi,

I'm still trying to understand this game. I like it but it's not easy to me for time being.

I've encountered the problem that the game crashes when I try to enter the building in the attached picture. It's still in the beginning of the game and I believe the area is called The Hive.

My game is fully modded according to the instructions on GoG. I'd be gratefull if someone knew the answer to my problem.

Cheers

Edit: I managed to find out the name of that building: Shilandra's Kip. Please, does anybody know what causes the crash?

Unfortunately I have a similar problem as well. When I enter some buildings the game suddenly crashes to desktop. Does anyone have a solution?

It seems like this problem have been mentioned before...if you don't spot an answer on GOGs boards, you may also want to try here: http://www.shsforums.net/forum/552-pst-fixpack/

It seems like the problem had to do with a mod changing events that changed whether an area was accessible or not, though I'm not going to swear to that....
This is a High Resolution Patch related error.

Unfortunately, to my knowledge, the best choice is to reinstall the game and either play it without the patch, or do not change during gameplay initial applied resolution (even if you choose to update your saved games, it will still crash).

Happened to me as well, so I decided to play in its original resolution. It offered me a legendary experience. Never felt the need if increasing resolution even by 1 pixel.

+1

I can't understand people using a high-resolution patch on a 2d game. Game looked and played beautifully at 640x480 on my 22" 16:10 LCD monitor. If you want a good Planescape Torment experience, don't install widescreen mods. The game doesn't need it, and you create a lot of unnecessary problems.

I recently completed the game with the High-Res patch and all the other suggested patches and mods. This will happen many times throughout the game, but please don't panic. It appears to be related to the order of entry of your characters. Just save very often ('Q' for quicksave), especially before entering any buildings. If it crashes, just reload your save, select just one character, and then enter the building. This has worked 100% of the time for me.

Good luck and enjoy the best cRPG of our lifetimes!

Hey thanks for your answer. I've already started again and been playing the game on standard resolution (with all the other patches/fixes installed) which is quite awesome and works really good. In addition to this I've got to admit that the feeling is even better now :D

And yep, this game is great!
