So upon entering the brothel of intellectual lusts the first time, I pilfered all the drawers there were to pilfer, taking with me all the handkerchiefs I found. At some point I ran out of inventory space and dropped my stash of handkerchiefs somewhere, I forgot where. Now that I need one, I can find one anywhere. Are there any merchants or anywhere else to find one? Or some kind of console command to spawn one? I don't really care how at this point, because if I screwed myself into a corner, I'm definitely not starting over.

Any advice before I throw my laptop against the wall?

Edit:Just checked the Curiosity Shoppe and found one. Thank the frakking Gods!

Man, I did the same damn thing. Luckily for me, I'd missed the one in the Tiefling's room, the woman who's job it is to be insulting.
Hey there

Do you possibly know any other locations for this item? I've been combing the internet forums for ages and seems the only other way is to use an editor...

Apart from the ones in the brothel itself, there's one in the lower area of the Sensorium where the bedrooms are (at 1130, 340) and another in Finam the Linguist's house (at 740, 340). So you shouldn't be totally screwed unless you've cleaned out those areas as well.
Thanks for the help, apparently I've combed the entire area and managed to lose all handkerchiefs. This is crazy, trying to pick pocket people but not finding anything. So frustrating!
If anyone else has this problem, use this link to download a great little editor and just GIVE yourself a handkerchief. I spent hours trying to find one in the game, to no avail...Enjoy!

Spoiler (but you're reading this because you're likely stuck and frustrated). I ran into this problem as well.

It seems you have only one chance in the dialog options to get Kesai to give you the Bloody Handkerchief which is necessary for the Unfolding Portal. Going back later you don't have the option to ask for a 'piece of her'.

So you either have to 1: go back to a save before Kesai talks to her father and do it again, or 2: use the Infinity Engine Savegame Editor to drag and drop the Bloody Handkerchief into your inventory or 3: murder Kesai and take it off her dead body which doesn't make any sense in the context of being a lawful good character. If you're not LG have at it. Plus you have to fight your way out of the brothel if you do that. You cannot pickpocket it either.

None of the other editors out there seem to have inventory items or will crash the save game. The one above ashro11 links to is the only one that worked for me.

Thanks for that, I misplaced a vital quest item somehow and this editor allowed me to save my game. I had almost given up and didn't have any previous saves.
I hope you didn't run into problems will character leveling up. My main character couldn't level up without crashing the game every time after that.
Luckily I still managed to finish the game with a little difficulty!
