As I remember, you could save your game as character in the old days. Now all you can do is save as game or mission, it seems. It the save as character feature removed in this version?

I know there's an exploit connected to this, but I just like being able to save my character and using it again in my next playthough.
No one?
When I created a new game, it had the character settings from the last time I set them still. Is that what you mean? Or are you meaning after you've leveled up qualities of your character while playing, starting over with that same upgraded character? Like ng+ ?
Yeah, I know what you mean, OP. This version of the game is not the same one I played years ago. I believe 'Pizza Connection' is what Pizza Tycoon was branded in Europe so my guess is there are some slight differences between the US and European version, one of them being the 'save character' option is missing.
Hi,

I know this is a few years later but the function you are looking for is in the game.

Once you start a new game with a character, enter a city and then on the right click on the Diskette-Icon to be able to "save as...".

There you will find the option to save the game as well as save the character.

Your character will be saved as "name.CHR" inside the "PIZZA\GAME\"-folder.

Unfortunately, there is no way to edit the characters stats easily.
Opening it with a text editor will give you scrambled mess, same if you try a HEX-Editor.
At least I don't know my way around that.

If someone can find out how to edit the money and stats of your save ".CHR" character file, please post a guide!

Hello,

Right-clicking on the diskette icon doesn't do anything. Left click takes you to the menu where you can click "Save" (again, right clicking doesn't work). Now only two options are present: as game or as mission. There is no character save feature anymore.

Perhaps you are playing the original version, not the gog version?

Hmm, yes, I still own the original German release of the game.
Strange that they removed that save option from the US release o.o

On that screenshot is should normally say "as character" as well, it does so on the German version.
