So I wanted to clarify just a tiny bit about this series.

I noticed that both of the games bear the title "Pizza Tycoon" which is probably the most recognizable title for most people.
However, Pizza Tycoon 2 is not actually the second game in the series. It's the third one.
The second one is actually more known as Fast Food Tycoon (I think).
Then of course if you're European, you may recognize the series as Pizza Connection or Pizza Syndicate.
And apparently even the different names may indicate differences even if it is the same game, according to a review.

Yeah... In all honesty I'm not even entirely sure what is named what, but suffice to say, the names might even be wrong here and there are more Pizza games than just Pizza Tycoon 1 and 2.
Personally, I used to play "Pizza Syndicate" as a kid, and that game is not here since that's the one known as Fast Food Tycoon for you americans.

As you can tell, I don't know how deep this pizza mystery goes. We may be entering a twilight zone of sliced pizza proportions. Prepare your pizza cutters, folks.

Pizza Tycoon (1994) was known as such in the US and Australia/New Zealand. In Europe, it was known as Pizza Connection.

Pizza Syndicate (1999) was known as such in Europe. In the US, it was known as Fast Food Tycoon, and in Sweden, it was Pizzasyndikatet. It also had a German-only expansion pack called Mehr Biss.

Pizza Tycoon 2 (2000) was an alternate name for Pizza Connection 2, as it was known in Europe. In the US, it was called Fast Food Tycoon 2.

I purchased Pizza Tycoon in europe, with that name.

Come to think of it, MobyGames does lack UK covers for reference, but still.

I still have my boxed copy, purchased in London.

Nice, just the information I was looking for! Yeah, maybe Pizza Tycoon 2 is better, but my nostalgia is strong with Syndicate even if that UI is ugly as hell.

If you buy Pizza Tycoon (1) in europe, especially in Germany, do you get the US version Pizza Tycoon or the German version Pizza Connection? Because as one reviewer pointed out, the publisher is the one from Connection while the screenshots show Tycoon

Gog doesn't do regional differences in their downloads. You get the inferior US Version.
