Not a huge fan of the wizard talents, those two where the only ones i really wanted. *frown*
For what it's worth I agree with you. Wizards are kinda bland. As I said many times, the class system feel very limited, while I reckon they made an effort to bring variety into each character developpement, in a viable manner.

I really miss dual/multi class.

I also agree that wizards are nothing like I expected... they arn't very good damage dealers outside of fireball.
What they ARE good at, is disabling enemies and debuffing them; confusion is king for a long time after you get it. :-)

I never claimed wizards where bad, this post is about two talents that supposedly are in the game, but i cant seem to pick them (They don't show up)

I find it rather hilarious that they made a game loosely based on IE games, and then made the worst spells from those games (Damage, CC) into the best spells in this game.

Yeah you're guess about them being excluded is probably right.
I checked in the game objectbundle folder and the heuristic talents you mentioned are included as a resource in the talent tln group. I have only just started the game so I have no idea whether they are actually implemented in the game.
Some talents won't show up until you get their foundation talents. For instance (and I don't remember exact names), you must get Arcane Veil before Hardened Veil becomes available; you must get blast before super blast shows up, etc (a lot like Temple of Elemental Evil).

However, I'm not too far into the game so I'm not sure if the ones you listed are like that or not.

As to wizards being underpowered .... I dunno about that.
I made a stealth wizard (started with 4 lore and DEX 20 - all level points I put into stealth), and in the Temple of Etholas in Gilded Vale I sneak up on and take out entire rooms of shadows before they can even reach me (and I'm close) while my team hangs back. I figure I'll just use Aloth for Lore to cast higher level scrolls.




I also believe there is a level requirement before some talents show up.

Yes, but the thing is that i had fulfilled all the requirements and it still didn't show up!
Unless they added more requirements...hmm...Well, just started a new wizard on max difficulty and updated version....guess i'll see if i can pick it this time around.
It might be a bug, you know. Why not raise it as an issue?
