A remake makes even more sense when you make it cross-platform. If you have Windows, you can play the original game.

Why other OS are not suported? It is a Unity game. This should not be a problem...

Yeap, Linux/macOS not confirmed yet, but they said "it might", so fingers crossed! It would be great!
Then I might buy it, but no confirmation yet.
Especially as the original plays flawlessly on Linux already.
It works using PlayOnLinux.

Create a new non-listed program, wine 6.0.3, 64 bits, default options but use "windows 8". I just played 2 missions.

Im using Linux Mint 21.1
It works perfectly for me. Debian 11, PortProton (Proton_GE_7-49)
On my case, it is not working: I just get a black screen and sound in the background. Might be my integrated Radeon GPU. seems like other people is more lucky
I have installed the game on Mac OS via CrossOver. It don't work. CrossOver seems not play the intro video. So the game hangs (I hear the sound - wind and crying birds - and see the first loading screen for 2 seconds ... and then then the screen goes black). It seems the game is wating for the trigger "video is at the end" but if the video don't start the game is wating forever.

Is it possible to turn off video playing in the ini-file of Pharao?

Now I purchased the game from GOG, and downloaded the GOG Galaxy, went though the motions, not working. Says windows needs .Net framework.

I have tried installing from the Galaxy, says not compatible.

I Have the MacBook Air with M1 chip.

Been waiting for this game sine 2 years !

I didn't manage to have this game working (tbh, I played it for 30 mins in Windows and wasn't impressed), but you are on your own here.

If you use a Mac, you need to use wine/proton like any other Mac, Linux or BSD user to play Windows games

Galaxy won't let you install non Mac games, even if they run perfectly fine on wine, if you see a "Windows only" tag, don't bother with Galaxy and go for the "offline installer"

You can go to this site and check if a Windows game will work with wine/proton. Sometimes you can find fixes for it

Actually, for what you are telling, you need to install dotnet. I use a program called winetricks. I got no idea if that works on a Mac. If you check the page I sent, you'll see that some people managed to run this game, so you have a chance of making it work, again, in my case I found it worse than the original pharaoh and didn't bother much, but hey, you might like it!
